Product details
Wipes on like furniture polish to add rich, uniform colour to wood and controlled penetration assures uniform colour tone without streaks or lap marks. Can be applied to all varieties of wood, both unfinished and previously finished, and can be used on surfaces that have been previously painted or varnished to achieve a wood grain effect. Use on surfaces such as cabinets, floors, panelling, antiques, doors, wood trim, unfinished furniture, and steel and fiberglass doors. Covers up to 400 sq. Ft. Per pint depending on porosity of the wood. Allow 3 hours drying time and protect your stain by top coating with zar polyurethane.

Perfect Color to Match Black Walnut Wood!
I am thrilled I found this stain and color! I needed to stain 2 shelves going into a black walnut china hutch. This color was the perfect match! I was out of pre-stain conditioner but it turns out I didn't need it with Zar. I applied using an oil brush and let it sit for about 10 minutes before I wiped off any excess with a foam brush. I let it dry for a few hours before I applied a second coat of Vintage Modern with a little Aged Bourbon for depth. The result was streak free with no blotching. It's affordable, easy to use, and creates the perfect finish without the typical overpowering fumes. I refinish furniture for a living and Zar's stain is my go-to choice!

Premium Oil-Based Stain
I've been using the mocha color to build and refurbish wood products around our home to match our floors and favorite antiques- this stuff is great! Thicker than most stains, so I love that it doesn't fling drops everywhere when covering less-porous surfaces; I just have to wipe a few times until I get the right look. I usually pour it into a splash of mineral spirits for raw woods and that applies quickly and easily. Prefer old white t-shirts or rags to paper towels or shop towels if you're new to staining.

beautiful stain!
I've used the oil based stain in a couple shades now and I absolutely love them! They go on beautifully. I have applied the stain with both a sponge brush and an old tshirt, both methods work great. highly recommend these stains!
