Springfield Plug-In 2-3/8" Power-Rise Locking Air-Ride Pedestal

We now have 3! Work great and so comfortable.

The Hydraulic adjustable seat posts installed quickly and easily and solved the seating height problems for my 91 year old father as well as others on our fishing trip. Will work well for my bow seat as well as I use one of the rear pedestal seats in the bow when using the electric motor. Only issue is the Instructions. Nothing tells the user that these pedestals are RIGHT HAND ONLY. If you attach the pedestal to the seat such that you have the release handle pointing to the left of the seated person (to provide space between the handle and the side of the boat) the seat is tilted forward forcing the user to constantly have to keep from falling forward out of the seat. There is a bias built into the pedestal assembly which places the user in a rearward tilted manner, which is very comfortable, but not explained in any description of the product or installation instructions. Luckily I had a large enough Phillips head screwdriver on the boat when we went dishing and I could reinstall the pedestal while miles away from camp.
