Does what it's meant for

I bought this for my 7 year old who always asks me to teach her to sew so I decided to get her her own one that she can use next to me. So this review is mostly based on her experience. She hated that the thread kept coming out of the needle once she tried to start sewing. The speed is slower than a regular sewing machine so that was nice and comfortable for her. She got to make some doll house bedding with the felt and filling that came with it. For me, I love that you don't have to stress and plug it up to the wall to use it. I sometimes need to do quick mending of small hole on their clothes and I'm not in the mood to plug my machine in and sit down at my craft table to use the foot pedal, so I just pick this little machine up and mend things wherever I'm comfortable. Recommended of your little one's first machine and for those small repairs here and there.
