works great for maintenance

it would be nice if the speed control was in a better spot for you to operate with one hand. the light switch you can operate while you have the dog's paw in your hand but the speed control you have to let go of the dog to grip the thing with two hands. and make sure you trim the hair around the toes because if your dog has long hair the hair can get tangled up in there and it's really tough to get it off. I've been trimming my dog's toenails with regular clippers for years, and this is great if your dog's nails are not long. so since this is my first time using this, I did clip her toenails with regular Clippers first and then finish them up with this. now from here on out I can use this. I feel her nails were too long for the amount of time with it would have taken to grind them down. because you can only run it for a few seconds at a time. it was extremely quiet and easy operate except for the speed that was hard to change while you're doing the nail. you have to stop let go of the dog's foot and adjust it. which was a problem when her hair got tangled up in it. so it's a great product and I recommend it just trim the hair first and start off with nails that are not too long.

I like the different speeds easy to handle low noise and little vibration. All my dogs let me do there nails with no hazel. They just relax and let me trim there nails. Worth every penny.
