When they arrived, my 19 year old son opened his mattress and we were both impressed with how quickly it expanded once the plastic was removed. The mattress was firm and very comfortable and he even slept on it that same night. For those of you who are unsure of buying this boxed mattress, I would definitely 100% recommend it.
