so far its been great. it handles 1/4 7018 pluged into 110 at the end of two lengts of 50 foot extention cords. infact it is way better than it has got any right to be this thing is punching way above its class. there has got to be a catch..,... but i havent found one yet. the hot start is actually present. if run onto many of these low cost welders where that wasnt the case. the leeds are actualy prett robust. i had to replace the leads on my last $57 box befor it would do any thing at all. altho that little thing did last a year of almost daily use. still i think they fall into around the same price after the leads were replaced and the last one wouldnt even touch 1/8" 7018. i would buy this one again if i had it to do over. in fact wouldnt be a bad idea for me to buy a backup at these prices the first job i picked up payed for it 4 times over. hope this was helpful for all of you building tanks out of your bulldozers on a budget, good luck!
