Sauder Palladia Computer Desk, Vintage Oak Finish

First of all, my husband and I were impressed with the packaging which ensured that the desk was not damaged during shipment. After a thorough inventory, all parts were accounted for and we began the assembly process. The instructions were clearly written with great pictures to help. Most of the parts were labeled to match the instructions. For those parts not labeled it was easy to figure them out by process of elimination or the pictures. It took about 4 hours to assemble. The finished product looks just like the catalog picture and is beautiful in our office. It looks like a more expensive piece of furniture. However, if you need a desk that sits in the middle of a room, the back is put on with finishing nails and would show.

Congratulations to the engineers for design and packaging ... yes, I said packaging. After opening the box, I was amazed by the number of pieces they managed to get inside. Previous reviews regarding the amount of time necessary to assemble those pieces were right on target ... it took me about 4 hours. But, the effort was well worth it. If you follow the instructions carefully, making sure you put the right screw into the right hole, you'll have no problems at all. If you try to jump ahead and not follow the instructions, you may have a problem.
