I've always worn a size 18 in young boys' short pants, so I confidently ordered this item, thinking it would fit just right. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The length was fine, but the fit felt more like a size 16. I'm not sure what went wrong this time. This seems to be a common issue with Walmart's quality—it's thin and feels cheap. I usually buy my Polo shorts for boys from the same store and have never had sizing problems before. The inseam was supposed to be 9 inches, but it was really closer to a mere 7 inches, which was perfect. It definitely runs small; I should have gone for a size 20 because the fit was far from acceptable. I would have shared a picture, but I was just 2 inches shy of being able to button them up.
