This is a stapler with a plastic housing, so be aware you cannot abuse it -- too many pages, drop it, etc. The metal staplers are sooo expensive BUT last two lifetimes. This will suffice for regular school work and the occasional home office. It seems to take regular staples, comes with 1000.
