Fabric seems very durable. Bright color as pictured. The stitched edges are a plus and make the mat look finished. The back side is a rubbery material that sticks well to slick surfaces. The top surface has a satin sheen slick feel but it works well with an optical mouse. This mat could also dress up a writing desk that was at least 36 inches wide.

This is a great non slip gaming pad. I bought it in black but you can get different designs and colors (black was the cheapest!). It fits my son's desk perfectly and doesn't move around and the edges are well stitched. Would recommend.
