This is a birthday present that I received, and I put it in the living room. Being that this is a larger room I wanted it for the fireplace option because it was aesthetically pleasing, however, I did turn the heat on, and the heat function does not carry over The way I anticipated that it would. It looks great and it's sturdy and well put together and holds everything that I needed it to, the only complaint that I have about it is that the heat is not as strong and come winter time, it will not do the job as a supplement.
