The fan is whisper quiet and powerful with 6 speeds. The battery seems to have allot of capacity and have not yet gone through an entire charging cycle. The display indicates the percentage of charge as you are using it. Although I have not tried it yet, there is a usb port on the side which I believe your phone could be charged from

After checking out a friend's fan, I immediately ordered this fan. It is very quiet, has multiple speeds, it can be hand held or you can easily place it on a table for hands free use. I like the digital display so you don't have to wonder what speed you are on as well as how much batter life is left. You just have to use your own iPhone charging cube for the table or whatever you can use for the usb type cable. I would highly recommend this item.
