pleasantly surprised with this purchase. I've been looking for a low cost food dehydrator that actually works for a while, but I've been nervous about buying a cheap one because cheap usually means garbage, but I can't afford to drop $150 on an item I won't be using terribly often. but this thing was cheap and it seems to be working pretty well. I've been hang drying basil for a few weeks, but it's been too humid here to properly dry anything. popped my leaves into this machine, and they were nice and crispy in about 2 hours. I have goldenrod in there now, for goldenrod tea, and I'll be dehydrating a puffball mushroom next. I want to try dehydrating my peppers, but my home doesn't have great ventilation and I don't want to end up in the hospital for dehydrating habanero peppers inside lol. but! I like it so far! I hope it'll last me a while, but I can't speak on its longevity. for the here and now, straight out of the box, it does seem to be a working dehydrator for a super reasonable price.
