I actually bought these because I thought they were ceramic and because they were so inexpensive it was just what i needed. Unfortunately they were metal with ceramic coating (salad ingredients should not be cut with a metal knife for a longer shelf life). however, these turned out to be much nice than i expected so i will keep them and look for another set for my lettuce 😀
