I have purchased MANY of these Carote knife sets in various colors when they were marked down. What a great deal, I paid less than $20 and was able to give so many sets out as gifts for Christmas. It's Carote so you already know it's of excellent quality. They block the knives sit in is a beautiful wood tone and looks beautiful sitting on my countertop. The knives match my pots and pans set. The knives are well crafted and very sharp. There is a built-in sharpener in my knife block,but I haven't had to utilize it as of yet. It comes with a full set of steak knives, bread, paring, butcher and a few more that surely come in handy. The knives glide through meats like butter, they're rust resitant and easily to clean. If you're looking at this item and they're still available, grab you a few sets, 1 for yourself and a couple to give as gifts. You'll be glad you did!

Very sharp, love the color

These are great! My husband bought them for me to replace a set we'd had since we got married many many years ago. They are super sharp straight out of the box and I love the color. The reviews I've seen with dulling and rust must be improper knife care because even though they may be dishwasher safe, you should always hand wash, dry, and put away your knives. I always hand wash and do not let them soak. We've had these for months now and they're as sharp as the day I took them out of the box.
