Very Fresh Pepper

The shopper selected a very large and pretty red bell pepper 🫑 🌶. I usually never get produce via delivery and prefer to select my own, but my husband had the car and I needed to get started on a late dinner. It was firm, slightly sweeter than normal after taste once I grilled the Julianne cut strips of the pepper on the cooktop grill, tossed in garlic butter, onion salt, and a little crushed cayenne pepper. I served it on top of a medium-well grilled burger with pasta lightly drizzled in extra virgin olive oil.

Red Bell Peppers (Green Bell Peppers, too)

Have always been happy with the produce picked out and delivered. Especially Red Bell Peppers. If you can’t use it all, cut them into strips, or strips then cut those strips into chunks. Whatever you may use them for, put that into a freezer bag, freeze what you don’t use then you’ll have some all ready, for next time….if green and red, I separate red and green bell peppers into individual bags, then put each bag into one bag and sharpie date it. Then you have a choice to toss some into a recipe, omelet or such….if ice is in the bag, put the bag into the fridge the night before, let it thaw overnight, so the water absorbs back into the peppers. No fuss, no waste.

Very small size red pepper

It used to be a regular size, but last time when I got it as a pickup, it was sooooo small, like the half the size and less than half the weight for the red peppers I get from Fred Myers, which is like 30 cents more. I wouldn't buy it again unless I go there and see which one I would like to pick.
