My purpose for this purchase was to provide a wind/temperature block in our Maine cabin for the winter. One wall is a slider and picture window and I felt the cold standing next to them. These curtains did the trick. The backing is durable and strong enough to deflect any wind getting through a crack in the seals. The warmth stayed inside while the snow fell outside. Excellent product!
