The seat cushion and arms are padded, while the form of the armrests were intended to maximize a 90 degree wrist angling for typing. Nice chair, Great value
The chair was simple to put together and it looks great (they did forget to include the little plastic caps that cover the screw holes, but they sent them quickly via FedEx after I called). The chair has also been comfortable (working at a desk for a couple hours at a time).
