my little guy took to it like he had always ridden in it. He in a Dachshund, so he is longer than most, he fits very well. with it having a strap around the back of the seat, and the anchor tether in the seat, I no longer worry about him being thrown into the floor board with a sudden stop. I can also be raised high enough to allow him to see out the window. overall very satisfied with purchase.
