This dog seat/bed works so well for our small Chihuahua......it gives him room to lay down and ride comfortably but securely. The straps that fit around the back of the seat were a little difficult to install, but that is due to space in the car more than the straps themselves. Cheaper isn't always a bad thing

Perfect for what I needed- short trips across town and a safer way for my small dog to ride. Surprisingly he didn't try to jump out because he knew he was buckled in. It isn't very padded so I put his favorite fluffy blanket in and draped it over the sides where he rests his head. I'm sure more expensive seats are more plush and comfortable but for the few times I need a car seat it works very nicely for me.
