these are definitely not just for trout. you can cut them in half and use them like a plastic jig on a jig head, you can rig them as a wacky worm on a bluegill hook, or you can just use the old hook bobber and weight, but whatever you do, the gulp worm starts putting out its powerful and water soluble attractive immediately at much greater volume than other flavored baits. So even on the off day you may have something on your hook.

I bought a few jars of the gulp alive trout worms and I was fishing among many fishing for trout. Most anglers were using eggs etc catching small trout but every trout I caught was larger than what the others fishing eggs caught. Great product !
