Back to the basics

This machine is amazing! Yes, it is louder than one of the computerized machines as other reviewers noted. That is simply because it is built with all metal parts. The only plastic on it is the outside body, not the moving parts. Whenever I had to take my other machine to a repair service, the tech would offer metal replacement parts, after showing me how the entire inside was made of plastic parts. And plastic moving parts wear out %26 break faster. I expect this machine will be the last one I ever need to purchase.

A great help!

I’m really happy with this sewing machine. As a beginner, I was able to learn the basic parts and start using it quickly. I’ve already repaired five pairs of pants by making the legs smaller, and the results came out great. The most important things I learned were threading the machine correctly and making sure the bobbin is set properly so the thread doesn’t tangle. Also, turning the handwheel toward you in one direction really helps keep everything running smoothly. Once you understand how to use it, the machine works well and makes sewing much easier. It’s a great choice for anyone who wants to start doing simple repairs or alterations at home.

Threading, and durability

Loved everything about the machine with the exception of threading. To thread you have to put your hand close to the needle, but the space is very tight, and I have small hands. Everything else is excellent and durable I am 70, and sew alot for homeless people and I hope this will be my last machine.
