Varathane Color Group 7 Stain Marker 2.4 oz

I dinged a cabinet and needed something to repair it. I tried different products but this stain marker is by far the best. It's expensive, but easy to use. Unfortunately it didn't work out because the colors didn't match. I'd suggest testing it prior to committing lol. It dried nicely but it was darker than what I needed. I did eventually find a different color that better matched. The image online and image on the package doesn't match. The stain is almost completely black not dark brown like it shows online. If your local store has it, then it's probably a good idea to look at the package colors instead. You have to be patient and precise. It took repeat vigorous shaking and pressing the tip down to get the stain to flow out initially. You have to be careful when applying because it dries super fast! It doesn't allow for mistakes. I applied then wiped the excess within 15 seconds and it was already stained. I ended up using a small fine tip painting brush to fill in the dinged spots so it would be more precise. I just pressed excess stain onto a disposable plate then dipped the brush in. It looked a lot better with that method. The stain can be used on any type of wood surfaces from floors to furnitures. By wood I mean real wood or something containing real wood particles. It does nothing to repair laminates.
