Budget Helper: I make this often to help keep grocery bill down. We prefer Navy over Great Northern as they have more flavor. I buy 4 cans and I add 1 carton Chicken Broth, 2 cloves garlic (minced), 1 teaspoon dried parsley, and 2 cups water. Cook in crock pot 4 hours on High. Serve in cups. (This will make 3 meals for 2.) Serve with mashed/roasted potatoes, steamed broccoli/green beans and cornbread.

GV Navy beans

Navy beans are little white beans. Use them for cold salads or soups, but caution not to over heat or continue overcooking too much, or you have bean mush. They come ready to use, I rinse the slime and drain, and they are good in summer salads, and nutritious as protein. If used in soup, I cook everything else first and add them at the last, they are just fine. I like Great Value brand because there is no difference in taste - buta better buy.

Nice Navy Beans

Used the can, the other night( It was COLD) made some Soup( Navy Bean). : ) And, I did not rinse the beans, was PERFECT consistency for my soup. Used a half a can of diced tomatoes( https://www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Value-No-Salt-Added-Petite-Diced-Tomatoes-14-5-oz/22002647?classType=REGULAR%26athbdg=L1100%26from=/search) I had in the fridge. Why?,did I share that info- so you'd know, how thin the soup was.(1 cup water, half the can-tomatoes(plus veggy) and the can of beans). You can do that(the beans come thick),they're about half the size of kidney beans. Didn't find it to be salty, either. ; ) Nice texture, good flavor. So, YES, i would recommend this product.
