The Augason Farms Water Treatment and Storage kit includes everything you need to store and treat 55-gallons of water. The treatment drops kill odor-causing bacteria, enhance the taste of stored potable water, and control the buildup of slime in the water barrel. The siphon hose and hand pump make accessing your water easier than ever. We’ve also included a must-have barrel lid opener. Don’t leave your water security to chance. As a general rule of thumb, it is recommended that you are prepared with a minimum of one gallon of water per person per day. TIP: When storing water barrels, it is recommended that barrels are not stored directly on cement or in constant sunlight, nor that water be allowed to freeze. Great product!
I ordered one of these water storage barrels to add to my water storage capacity. FedEx delivered the item on Saturday! Came in undamaged and all items included. I built an elevated platform and filled the barrel to the top. No leaks or bulges. Bung hole caps fit tightly. Good seal. I wrapped the barrel in black plastic, so it wouldn't be so noticeable in my garage and to further protect against bacteria. Augason Farms told me the heat and cold would not affect the barrel in any way (it gets close to 100 degrees everyday in the Summer). I will be ordering 2 more of these. Cannot beat the product for the price. I ordered a 100 gallon storage tank and it was almost 3 x the price of this barrel. This barrel is marked on the barrel up to 55 gallons, but when filled to the top holds approx. 60 gallons. I am very pleased with the product and recommend it to anyone wanting to be prepared. Thank you Augason Farms and Walmart. Another good shopping experience!

Great, came with all things needed to open. The water treatment bottles and pump are a great PLUS with this purchase! Maybe a drum dolly for purchase would have made it even better for when after it is prepared (filled with water). Drum dolly with wheels much like the photo provided.

Don't overlook the need for water in an emergency.
This product will hold a sufficient amount of water to provide for a family of four for five days easily. Make sure to put it in a sheltered spot and cover it so as to avoid direct exposure to sunlight (this will help avoid bacterial growths). Unit comes with water purification treatment.
