Sturdy with terrible directions!
Once you get the product together it's wonderful. However, the directions are the worst I have ever seen…worse than IKEA pictures. It was easier to put the legs on baskets first and then figure out how to put the top sections on base. Do not tighten bolts until you are satisfied it's together. You may have to take one side apart until the legs are just right. If not, the pieces will not go together. Based upon online image the cups go on whiteboard side.

Sturdy easel with great work/storage space
I bought the pink easel. It took about an hour to assemble (with no help). There are a few places where the pink paint was scraped off, so I'm expecting issues with that going forward. The easel is really very nice. The shelves and work space immediately under the whiteboard and chalkboard are great. I have no intentions of using the whiteboard for anything other than paper pulldown. So we won't have the issues others mentioned in the reviews. It does come with paper - but it is a pretty small roll. I have already ordered replacement rolls. I'm not sure about buying pink again, but I would recommend this easel.
