Sauder Carson Forge Computer Desk, Washington Cherry finish

We've never bought "put together" furniture before, and we were very pleased with this desk. It was delivered promptly, and in the rain, but, was wrapped in plastic so nothing got wet. Be warned that it is a very heavy package. If we didn't have company at the time, we would've had an issue getting it in the house. Once you begin to unpack, it is very clear that returning it will surely be an issue. All our hardware was accounted for before we began. We had a slight scratch on the top of the desk, but, with a little "scratch cover", it was never noticed again. If you organize and check all the parts before starting, it will make the project go alot easier. Also, plan to take some breaks - we divided it up into a two day project. We found the directions were very clear, and in understandable English. We didn't even have any "words" while putting the desk together:) The finished product it really very nice looking, and just what we wanted for our home office.

I read the reviews and was concerned about shipping damage and difficulties in assembly. My unit arrived in pristine condition. I did a full inventory of the parts as received and labeled them with the instruction codes for easy retrieval. I grouped the screws and other hardware and labeled them. The instructions were clear. I methodically went page by page, taking my time and after about three hours, the job was done. No problems were encountered including twisting the special twist locks to 210 degrees. I did not have to drill any holes. I only needed a screw driver and hammer. The manufacturer has videos to show how to do some steps. The drawer adjustment video is worth watching. And the result is well worth the effort. BTW, I ended up with two extra nails and one extra cap. Otherwise all parts were exactly as needed.
