Well the first one that arrived by mail was broken but we returned and ordered a new one. All was well. We are using these chairs for a tv room. They are soooo comfortable and look fantastic. I think I would be careful with the lever on side. It seems alittle fragile but no problems so far. I admit my contractor put together the chairs but he did so with no problem and quickly. As of now, I would recommend these chairs. I love them
