Chefman 7-Quart Electric Slow Cooker, Dishwasher-Safe Crock - Red

This is a great looking and equally large and easy to use slow cooker. We chose to go with the simple single knob temp and power setting instead of the more more feature packed digital programmable version. I've used a simple knob set up for decades, and for our needs, it's worked well. There is a low and high cook setting as well as a warm function. The black crock removes easily for cleanup. The lid is wrapped in a steel band to protect the glass edge from chipping but I'm concerned about the top handle. It does screw into the glass lid through nylon bushings, but the plastic handle feels a bit cheap. My biggest concern was in the packing. Although it was in a 2 piece molded foam frame, the cardboard box was pretty lightweight, and it received damage during shipping. There was a tear in the box that pushed the side handle into the stainless steel outer body which was pretty flexible, resulting in a dent. I was able to pull the handle out but there was still some denting visible. I'd advise the local seller to package these in an outer boxer with sufficient packing. I didn't bother to file a claim as the price we paid was excellent and the damage was what we could live with so it didn't feel reasonable to go into further expense and time. Overall, it's a keeper! We've got bbq meatballs slow cooking in it right now. It's huge!
