I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these blackout curtains. The fabric has a beautiful faux linen texture that gives them a much more expensive look than I expected. They feel thick, heavy, and durable, with excellent stitching and construction throughout. The biggest surprise was the blackout performance. Before hanging them, I held a bright flashlight against the back of the fabric, and absolutely no light came through. If they perform this well with a flashlight, I have no doubt they'll do an excellent job blocking sunlight in a room. Another feature I really appreciate is that the back of the curtains matches the front. Unlike many blackout curtains that have a black or rubberized backing, these have a clean, finished appearance from both inside and outside the home. The hidden rod pocket also creates a polished, tailored look once they're hung. Overall, these are attractive, well-made curtains that don't sacrifice style for function. They combine the elegant look of linen with true blackout performance, making them an excellent choice for anyone wanting complete light blocking without the typical heavy blackout curtain appearance. We got these so we could use our projector to watch movies on our wall. Highly recommended!

Blackout Linen Curtains sold by GLEAMIST These curtains are getting a rare 5-star rating from me. PQR: Very Good Top quality and worth every penny. WEIRD SMELLS: None QUALITY: Excellent! Very nice thick and weighty feel. Even though these are polyester, they look and feel like linen. Sewing is about as good as it gets. Expertly executed stitching and double-stitching where it's most needed. The two different methods for hanging the curtains are well done and the fabric is re-enforced with a strip to prevent wear-through on the back of the curtain. I like to use the loops method for the nice wavy folds it creates. Yes, they're wrinkled. Of course they are. However, the blackout backing is not so thick as to become permanently creased. If you're impatient you can try the low iron setting, but I found it to be not very effective in the past. Using a hair dryer helps, but I've found that the best method is just waiting a week or two for the wrinkles to fall out and then taming whatever wrinkles remain. I already have a set of these which was sold by a different seller. They are exactly the same in every way and I used the wait-and-see method followed by some hair dryer action. Yes, even more on wrinkles. If they're going to be in a south or west window, the sun will take care of the wrinkles for you. Okay, I'm done with the wrinkles screed.
