I actually picked up this chair to.go with my wife's vanity table. On a scale of 1 to 10, for comfort, I'd say, 5. Fabric is soft. Foam padding feels a bit on the firm side. Foam over chair arms is adequate. The seat is average width. At 190 lbs, I sat in it with no issues. The back is tall enough for me, at 6-feet. Probably good enough for someone even slightly taller. The headrest pillow is removable by simply undoing a belt buckle which holds it in place. For me, the headrest is a little too low, sitting between the shoulder blades. But my wife, who is shorter, loves it! The lumbar support pillow is also removable. It feels ok. I'd prefer a little.softer pillow. The lumbar pillow also features a 'massage' effect. There is a small vibrator inside the lumbar pillow. a length of wire with a USB-A plug may be plugged into any 5 volt phone charger. Unfortunately, there is no on/off switch and no speed control. Too bad. If you don't like it, you may simply unzip the lumbar pillow case and remove the vibrator. Very easy. The height adjustment works very well and this seat can be raised quite high. The adjustable recline also works very well. Instead of 2 or 3 positions, this chair can be locked at any variable recline angle. This feature is also very good. The base, legs and spine are all heavy tubular steel. There are about 2-dozen bolts to hold parts together. NOTE: An allen wrench is included, but a T30 bit and ratchet screwdriver will be considerably quicker. While the base is solid, the arms are a molded plastic. They seem fine. But, to me, do not convey the stable solid feel of tubular steel. Finally, there is an extendable foot rest. That feature works just fine and is very useful when in a reclined position. This chair comes in multiple colors. zi chose the white and pink to match my wife's vanity. She loves the chair. I guess that says it all. Highly Recommended
