Evenflo Lyra 2-in-1 Infant to Toddler Rocker with SensorySoothe™, Truffle Taupe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a mom to four young kids, including a baby, so our home is always busy. I was so excited to receive this product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel because it has given my baby a safe, comfortable place to relax while I am tending to daily tasks. The Lyra 2-in-1 Rocker has it all! The wood-like accents and neutral colors make this rocker aesthetically pleasing, the washable fabric is amazing, and I love that it will last beyond the baby stage. The SensorySoothe technology is great for keeping my son calm and entertained. He loves looking at the changing lights and listening to the music, and I appreciate the fact that I can customize the settings on the phone app. At first, I wasn't sure why it was necessary to have an app connected to this rocker, but I've found it to be useful for quickly switching to the right sound and light mode. I like that this rocker has two different recline positions and that the five-point harness keeps my wiggly baby safe. I also appreciate that the technology bar is adjustable. Sometimes my son likes the toy attachments to be close to him so he can play with them, while other times he prefers to have them out of the way, so it is nice to easily change the position. The infant cushion is soft and I like that it is dual sided so you can choose what is most comfortable for your baby. While I mainly use this rocker for my baby, my toddler has also tried it out and enjoys it, so I'm happy to know that it will be used for a while. The one thing that I don't love about this rocker is that the technology bar mount sticks out of the chair when it is in toddler mode and looks a little bit odd, but that certainly would not prevent me from purchasing the product because I love everything else about it. Overall, if you are looking for a rocker that combines safety, style, and fun while also being useful beyond the baby stage, the Lyra 2-in-1 Rocker is an excellent choice.

We keep referring to the Lyra 2-in-1 Rocker as the “Cadillac of baby rockers” because of its fancy but modern look and functionality. The first feature to note is the built in SensorySoothe technology. The “arm” that is above babies head is adjustable and is easy to navigate- There is an app but we just use the buttons on the top to change the lights, music and sound options. The light settings allow you to choose one light color or to have the colors change in a soothing pattern to calm and engage baby. This is one of the features that I think sets this rocker apart from a typical rocker/bouncer. In addition to the technology, the rocker is extremely smooth with its forward and backward motion. We are looking forward to the day when our little guy can start kicking his legs to self propel the rocker but until then it takes very little effort to get the rocker to move and provide a soothing motion. Another feature of the rocker we like is the dual-sided infant cushion. One side is fleece (our preferred side currently since it's winter) and the other is a breathable air-mesh (which will be great for the warmer weather seasons). Because our little guy is still on the smaller side, this insert is extremely beneficial to providing comfort and securing him in place without him drowning in the chair itself. The instructions mentioned being able to throw the insert into the washing machine (huge perk) but we have not yet had any accidents or spit up to need washing (knock on wood). Lastly, the overall look and design of the rocker is very eye catching! We love that this looks good in every room of our home and we can easily move it when we need to because of how light weight it is. The wood-like accent and cream-neutral colored fabric (and white fleece insert) has a unique look that you don't find in other rockers often found on baby registries. The wood-like legs of the chair also are easy to wipe down. The only small thing we found that we didn't absolutely love was the material of the harness (although we love that there is a harness for safety purposes). All the other material for the rocker looked high quality and very appealing, however, the harness straps didn't meet the same standard. The harness itself is secure but the material looked somewhat cheap compared to everything else on the rocker. This wouldn't prevent us from recommending the rocker but something to consider for future production.
