Maxi-Cosi Zelia Pro 5-in-1 Modular Travel System, Caspian Caviar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this travel system to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. When I took the stroller out of the box, my first impression was that it looked elegant and well-designed. I loved the black color paired with the tan/light brown accents on the bars and the nice two-tone detail on the wheels. I was excited to try it, so I put it together right away, which was very easy. All I had to do was click the wheels into place and choose the seat I wanted to use. It comes with both an infant seat and a toddler seat, which can also be used as a bassinet. Both seats can be positioned forward- or rear-facing, which is very convenient. I especially liked that the infant seat can be used as both a car seat and a stroller seat, so you don’t have to transfer the baby if they fall asleep during a car ride. The fabric feels soft, and I appreciated that the toddler seat includes extra padding—it definitely makes it more comfortable. However, when I first placed my baby (18 pounds, 11 months) in the infant seat, the head padding caused his neck to be too reclined, and he seemed uncomfortable and started crying. Once I removed the head padding, he looked much more comfortable and settled down right away. We tested the infant car seat during a two-hour drive to the zoo. Once we arrived, we switched to the toddler seat so my 3-year-old (32 pounds) and 5-year-old (45 pounds) could take turns riding when they got tired. They both seemed comfortable, and the baby got to take a couple of naps in there, but I would recommend that if you have more than one small child, you might want to consider a double stroller. Otherwise, you may end up holding one child while pushing the stroller! Right now, my go-to setup is using the infant seat because I can easily convert it into a stroller without waking the baby or carrying the seat around everywhere. One of my favorite features is how tall the infant seat sits in stroller mode—it means I don’t have to bend down as much to reach my baby. The handlebar height is also great and helps with my posture. I also love how spacious the basket is; I can easily fit my large diaper bag, toys, and other essentials without any trouble, the wheels also make rides smoothly.

It’s a very convenient, all-in-one system that makes everyday outings much easier. Being able to move the car seat straight onto the stroller without disturbing my baby is a huge plus. The fabrics feel soft and cozy, and my little one seems very comfortable in both the stroller and car seat. I also love that the car seat is lightweight, which makes it easier to carry. The 5 modes are very practical. Right now, my son still uses the car seat, so that’s what I use the most—but I can already tell the world-facing position will soon be my best friend. What I like most is how versatile and user-friendly it is—it really grows with your child and simplifies daily life.
