It comes with clips to secure each piece to the other but we chose not to use them so we can move from a sectional when it’s not in use to single chairs when having people over. Arrived well ahead of schedule. everything was well packed and all the parts were there. It was relatively easy to assemble but very time-consuming. Not comfortable for sitting at all. The supporting structure itself is well built but the cushions are much too thin providing no support and are so light they don't stay where they are placed. Unfortunately I purchased two sets because the reviews I read were much better than the actual set really is.
