This is very cute and seems very sturdy but the product picture is deceiving. after putting a 9.5 inch mattress on it, there is only about a 2 inch area that is above it. i was expecting more like 5 inches or so. sad there isnt more above the mattress. but on a good note, the picture shows one side of one side of the bed that is black, but mine was not like that. all sides were leather. that was a happy surprise! so the bed can be shown on any side. There are no holes predrilled for the slats. also no holes predrilled for two of the plates you put on it. as long as you have a drill, it's fine. we bought some extra wood to add extra slats to support the memory foam mattress. but overall, despite some downs, its cute. just wish the mattress sat lower so there woild be more area to make sure your child doesnt roll off. but seems durable so far.

Like the pink, DONT BUY THE WHITE!
I ordered both the pink and the white beds for my kids! The pink one aside from one or two screws went together well and after fixing the other couple screw holes it is sturdy and my daughter loves it! I DO NOT HOWEVER RECOMMEND THE WHITE BED! I don't know why but the white bed is very different! While it looks the same it was missing all the holes to screw in the hardware and the hardware that was given was the wrong size entirely even if we wanted to try to make the holes so it was impossible to assemble and we returned it!
