The colors are lighter than I thought, which I'm really happy about! the back is non-skid, so it doesn't slide around. The rug is actually SOFT. I never would have thought this would be soft from the picture, but it is! The fact that I cab put this in the washer makes us even better! Even my dog is happy now that she's not sliding all over in the hallway. Dog and dog mom approved! Just a great runner! Definitely a quality product.
