I put these up over all of our windows. I think they're great for blocking out light especially with a baby who needs it to dark to go to sleep. They look great to me, and they are blackout curtains but the only thing I would say I don't like is the light being able to come out from the sides! It's a non issue since it's curtains but just keep that in mind. If your looking for some simple curtains I'd say get these they get the job done overall.
