I ordered this shoe stretcher to handle a pair of leather boots that were slightly too tight in the toe box. The build quality is impressive, as the central rod is made of heavy-duty metal and the plastic foot piece feels dense and durable rather than brittle. It was very easy to install into the shoe and the mechanical components turn smoothly without catching. Regarding the fit, the included pressure relief plugs are helpful for putting specific spots where my foot usually rubs. It works good for widening the material gradually over twenty-four to forty-eight hours without overstretching or damaging the stitching. The size of the unit is adjustable enough to reach deep into the front of the shoe while still allowing the heel block to seat firmly against the back. In terms of functionality, the ease of use of the dual-way adjustment provides both length and width expansion for various styles of footwear.
