He in a Dachshund, so he is longer than most, he fits very well. with it having a strap around the back of the seat, and the anchor tether in the seat, I no longer worry about him being thrown into the floor board with a sudden stop. This was exactly what we needed. We were able to raise it enough that my little dog can look out the window. I put a towel on the bottom. It was very comfortable for her and really kept her busy.
