BLACK+DECKER BFSR18B 18 in. Stand Fan with Remote Control, Black

Good fan for the price. Very easy to put together without the instructions. The only issue I have with it, is while it is running it puts off an odor. Kind of smells like ozone or maybe a motor grease. I've been running it for almost a week now and can still smell it.

I am giving 3stars not for the fan itself which seems fine and has a really powerful airflow. Package was so damaged, dented, ripped, filled with holes and taped up. It was not in original packaging from factory and was clearly a returned item with the pieces just thrown in the box without any styrofoam, a bread tie around the chord which was clearly retied with the bread tie. Remote was in the bottom of box just thrown in without batteries as well as the other parts to put fan together. All the pieces were halfway in plastic and some not in plastic at all and the plastic was wrinkled and old and looked like it was just tossed in the box haphazardly and clunking around freely in the box. The fan itself doesn't appear to be damaged or used (possibly used but cleaned). Fan works fine and has good air power. If company is claiming to be selling a new product for new product price, this is not the way the order should have come. Not sure if I can attach photos but if I can, I will.
