We The 16 inch fan for a bedroom and we ended up putting that in the living room and putting the 18 inch back into our bedroom because you do notice that much of a difference with the bigger fan blade moving air. So if you think that you're going to save some money on the 16 inch Take my word for it and grab the bigger one. You'll be much happier with it. Tired of losing remotes, just buy a manual on and off switch. Our fan goes on, it stays on pretty much all the time until I take it apart to shower off the screen in the fan blade, which is easy to do in the bathtub Shower. Anyways, enjoy.
