Unit came KDF (unassembled) But was easy to assemble, did not require any tools (although the instructions did include a small screwdriver) Assembly took about 30 minutes, with easy to follow instructions. Extremely sturdy, the brake keeps it locked in place. collapsability feature is extremely helpful and easy to use. it's a bit heavy for lifting but that's an easy trade to make for how sturdy it is. the handles pull up for a short stop brake and push down to lock into a brake.
