I found that it was actually the best thing for my teeth and gums! Philips includes a Sensitive mode, which I used to slowly get myself accustomed to their flosser's strength. Once I worked my way up, my teeth and gums had never felt more clean. It quickly and altogether removed the hard to brush plaque from my teeth! My favorite part about this Philips Flosser is that it works wonderfully for anyone with permanent retainers or braces! The water pressure and overall clean was much more efficient than regular floss. It didn't cause my gums to bleed and cleared away more plaque. One I got my flosser properly set up, it was fairly convenient to use on a daily basis. I could simply fill the tank to the water line and turn on. If I were to travel, it's easy enough to take apart the pieces to make it more compact. The convenient features on this flosser are wonderful, especially the long battery life. As a person who doesn't love having cords all over my counters, I love that I can charge my flosser and put the cord away for a long while.
