I have crowded teeth. Should have had braces back as a kid. Oh well. I had to learn the hard painful way about periodontal care (or lack of) Along with regular brushing and flossing, Waterpik has made a huge difference with improving my overall gum and tooth health. It should be used in addition to brushing and flossing; it's not a substitute.

Good device, great service

The water pic was recommended by my dentist. It performs exactly as described. I am impressed that it seems to find small bits of food that are missed with regular flossing. However, the item I am most impressed with is the speed that Walmart showed in delivering the item. I expected two to three day service. I ordered it in the morning and I received it in the late afternoon. Amazon beware! Walmart is competing.

Great alternative to string

The device works well and was easy to set up. The only confusing part was the lid on the tank. It was not clear how to remove it, especially because it comes in two parts connected by a hinge. The lower part, it turns out, is a storage place for other nozzles. The entire two-piece lid lifts off. It is not permanently connected to the tank or base. Now I just use the device without the lid on the tank.
