I had thought to put this together by myself. but I had some friends stop by and the woman told her husband to help me put it together and I'm so glad she did. I just don't think I could have managed it by myself. it took quite a while. the first day my cat slept in the first cubby all day long. since then he has had absolutely nothing to do with it. I was so excited when I was able to buy it for him I thought he would love it and given his reaction the first day I thought he did but like I said he has had absolutely nothing to do with it ever since. it is still in his corner of the living room where he can get sunshine or shade but he chooses delay on the back of the love seat or in the window. but that's his choice he owns the room. I love him so much he can do whatever he wants. eventually maybe he'll go back and get in it. I still have his small little scratching post hammock that he uses a little bit. but please if you were a small woman do not attempt to put this together by yourself. especially if you are an older small woman like myself.
