Picked up for $449 with my employee discount, can't beat that for a 5070 RTX. Excellent overclocker was able to score a 33k GPU passmark score after the OC, cool and stable from a stock score of 29k. A 5070ti averages around 34k on passmark so pretty impressive. Destroys World of Warcraft at 1080p paired with a 9800x3d and MSI x670 Tomahawk motherboard. 300 fps at 1080p in outside zones and 120-180 fps in intensive raiding on max graphical with RT off.

Should I Stutter, or Should I go.

For $500 plus tax, I purchased this MSI RTX5070 Shadow 2X OC from Walmart through a 3rd party vendor which made me wonder about making a risky deal. Because of the video card shortage, I wanted a spare gamer card like my Gigabyte RTX 4070 Super OC which has nearly the same performance. However, using Afterburner to overdrive both cards, I found that the RTX 5070 runs a little hotter than the RTX 4070 Super by about 5 C, but the RTX5070 only runs at 75% capacity while the RTX4070 Super runs at 96 to 98% capacity for my favorite online game which seems like an advantage to me. To compensate the extra heat, I added a small USB fan to the back of my computer, and removed the bottom access slot panel. As a result, I got a video card that is less likely to freeze or stutter, but only once did I get a stutter from this better RTX5070 card.

For a 5070 at/under $500, this thing is king.

For $500 it was a pretty big discount from other similar GPUs, works great, no issues with physical installation or drivers, takes up less space in my tower than my previous GPU, runs under 75C without me needing to manually increase fan settings - and the fans are super quiet as well - and overall was definitely worth me waiting for who knows how many months/years of avoiding $1000 graphics cards to be able to get this at the current price. 10/10 if my previous GPU wasn't failing when I bought this I would have waited until Black Friday sales, but I don't at all regret getting it for the price a month earlier and am very happy with it. If you're reading this before the end of 11/25 and thinking about getting a new video card, wait for sales and if you find one for under $500 and your budget is such that you can't afford more than that, if/when you see that deal, definitely go for it; you won't be disappointed.
