Love this Electric Ice Shaver! This Shaver is super easy to assemble and use. The only thing that wasn't super obvious at first is that you need to purchase syrups or flavorings ahead of time because they are not included. We improvised and decided to simply use orange juice instead and our daughter loved it. You can also experiment and add sweet condensed milk, vanilla ice cream, lime juice, or kool aid. Sliced fruits are also delicious. It uses regular ice from your fridge. You just put the cubes in the top and hold it down and it grinds the ice into snow cone shavings. It even comes with a nice plastic reusable snow cone. The snow cone is great for catching the shavings. I might recommend dumping the shavings in a bowl for little kids otherwise, they have to hold the plastic cone and cannot put it down. It's super easy to clean since it's just melted ice afterwards which is basically just water. Instead of ice you can freeze juice or just use a frozen juice canister instead. You know the frozen kind you usually add water to? It is delicious, but it also requires more clean up of the machine afterwards. Overall super happy with this ice shaver. My daughter and I love it!

I was pleasantly surprised with the Nostalgia Electric Snow Cone Maker. This little appliance is made of durable plastic, with a strong, stainless steel blade that shaves ice into super fine snow with the simple push and hold of a button located on top of this machine. I love that this machine can be used with regular ice cubes as well, and that it comes with a reusable ice mold that you can just fill with water and pop it into the freezer to create an ice disc that fits perfectly inside the snow cone machine. I have tried both options and they both create perfectly fine shaved, snow-like ice, the only difference is that the ice shaving process is smoother with the ice disc, and slightly bumpier and louder with ice cubes. There are two small suction cups underneath the machine that help keep the snow cone maker in place on the countertop while in use. Setting up this fun little snow cone maker is quick and easy, everything is included, even a reusable plastic cone for the shaved ice. All you will need to purchase additionally will be the colorful syrup flavors to create your own delicious snow cones just in time for the warmer season coming up! Great purchase, I highly recommend it!
