Beautiful Hands-Free Automatic Battery Powered Electric Can Opener, Rose by Drew Barrymore

It was available in my favorite color!! It feels good in your hand, the weight is perfect not too heavy or light and the finish is nice, it doesn't feel like it might slip out of your hand. I love the button to turn on and off. The one I had in the past you had to hold the button down and it was never quite clear when you should release it...this is straight forward and easy to use and it releases the lid much easier!! So far I've not had to pull hard or reverse it to get it to release the lid ;~) And it costs the same as the one I had previously!! So the value is fabulous!

I love the Beautiful line and was excited for this can opener. I've had it for a couple months and have had no issues until today. I opened four cans with it for dinner tonight. When I went to throw away the can I got stabbed in the finger with a little metal sliver. I looked at the top of the other cans and they all had tiny metal slivers. When I used my flashlight I found more on the counter. I threw out our whole meal out of caution for our small children. I never had this issue with the faberware version I had for years before I got this one. I'll be switching back.
