They actually go down all the way over the mattress corners, but they also have built-in straps on each corner that go under the mattress that keep them from moving around all together. This is a genious idea that all sheets should have. They also have a little pocket on each side, towards the head of the bed, where you can put little things like books, glasses, phones, etc. Another genious idea that all sheets should have.
