About this item

Product details

Give your baby a secure and comfortable ride in the Safety 1st onBoard™ Slide Infant Car Seat featuring SafetySlide™ Base. The innovative design of the car seat’s base makes it easier to get baby in and out of the car—simply slide your baby toward you, lift, and go. No more back strain and head bumps. The SecureTech™ red-to-green indicators on the seat’s base allow you to see when your base is locked in place when using the SafetySlide™ feature.

Enjoy quick, easy installation every time without having to tighten the connectors manually—you can easily attach the base to the vehicle seat in just seconds with the rigid LATCH connectors.

When using the vehicle belt, installation is simplified with SecureTech™—Safety 1st’s innovative technology that solves the most common installation problem 7 out of 10 parents unknowingly have: loose vehicle belt tension. The red-to-green visual indicators show when the seat belt has tension.

The ultra-lightweight design at just under 8 lbs. makes it simple to carry, too. The 4 harness heights are designed to give your child a better fit from 4–30 lbs. and less than 32". The harness adjusts easily from the front of the seat with a simple pull to securely fit your child. The buckle adjusts in two ways so that you can customize the length and the buckle’s position on your child. Since every car is different, you can also adjust the base height for the right fit to your car.

Your baby will be nice and comfortable relaxing in the soft fabrics and plush padding. Smaller babies get the extra support they need with head and body inserts that can be removed as they grow.

Great Design and Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design of this car seat is sleek and modern, and feels both durable and comfortable for my baby. The sliding base is a game-changer—it significantly reduces the strain on my back and arms when placing my little one in the seat. No more awkward bending or reaching! Installation was straightforward, with clear instructions and a secure fit in my vehicle. What I loved most about this car seat is the convenience the slide feature adds without compromising safety. It's a well-thought-out design that truly makes daily use more manageable. I would highly recommend! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this infant car seat.

Easy to install and safe for baby

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had my second baby and this was the perfect car seat for our newborn as we grow our family. I received the Safety 1st Onboard Slide with SafetySlide through Stellar Product Testing Panel and I'm so glad that I did. Installation was very easy, we did it using the vehicle latch and the tabs helped ensure that everything was in place safely and correctly. The base is heavy and sturdy, making it feel very safe. The seat is very well padded and my baby seems very comfortable in it which has made longer car rides much easier and more bearable. I especially love how lightweight the seat is, making it easy to take in and out of the car, especially with the sliding feature. I definitely recommend this car seat and look forward to continuing to use it!

Love the slide feature so helpful and easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the car seat as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and was super excited to test out the slide feature since it was a brand new concept to me. We just had our third baby and after a c section I was so grateful that this car seat is the lightest I have used, as I couldn't lift much. It's sturdy and well made with a very modern and classy look but somehow is as light as a feather. The slide feature was super helpful in clicking the seat in and I know it will continue to be beneficial as baby gets heavier. It makes clicking him in so fast and simple. Installation was the easiest we can remember! With just two rigid latch connectors to hook into the seat, it's fast and easy to move in and out as needed. Baby seems super comfortable in the seat as well. We are excited to use this seat as the months go on during the infant stage!
